NEW YORK (AP) — Of the three competition shows that dominate prime-time television, only NBC's "The Voice" is on the rise.
With its viewership up 32 percent in its second season, the show with Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as music business coaches has given NBC something to smile about after a seemingly endless run of bad news in the ratings.
"The Voice" still trails Fox's "American Idol" and ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" in the ratings. But those two shows are fading and have an older audience.
Also last week in television, Kiefer Sutherland's new Fox drama "Touch" landed in the week's top 10 with its premiere episode.
