Disney nabs Warner Bros. president as studio chief

LOS ANGELES (AP) — In a personnel move that attempts to right the wrongs that led to the blockbuster bomb "John Carter," The Walt Disney Co. named the president of Warner Bros. Entertainment, Alan Horn, to lead its movie studio.

Horn starts June 11. He will oversee worldwide production, distribution and marketing for live action and animated films from Disney, Pixar and Marvel and movies made by Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks Studios.

Horn, who oversaw the hugely successful runs of the "Harry Potter" and "Dark Knight" movies at Warner Bros., is one of the highest-profile executives in Hollywood.
